Dog Training for Children – April 7 @ 6 pm (PST)
Dog Training for Children – April 7 @ 6 pm (PST)
Presented by Dr. Ian Dunbar
1-hour seminar (45-minute presentation followed by 15-minute Q+A)
Children have the potential to be first-class dog trainers. Dog training is much easier if the handler is fun and engaging, which is something that children often excel at. Children are usually more exciting than adults and as a result, they are often able to get and keep a dog’s attention. However, children do need lots of guidance about how to harness that engagement and excitement, without letting it get out of control.
We know that there are a lot of children home from school due to the social isolation protocols surrounding the current epidemic, so we thought it would be an excellent time to do a webinar about how to help children become excellent dog trainers.
